Who we are

Plan Ready helps parents in England with EHCP paperwork: needs-assessment requests, appeals and responses to draft plans. It is run by Jamie Stone, who is the data controller for the information you give us. Contact: jamie@cortexgrowth.co.

What we collect from our enquiry form

Our form does not ask about your child's needs or health.

If you go ahead

To prepare your documents we will need information about your child, including their special educational needs and reports from schools and professionals. This is sensitive information. We only collect it with your explicit consent, use it only to prepare your documents, and share it only with the SEN specialist who checks your draft and with the service providers listed under "Who else sees it". We use secure drafting software (including AI tools) to prepare first drafts, and a person checks every draft. We choose AI tools whose terms say they do not train on our customers' data.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and, if you choose, to provide the service. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing that contract; for your child's information, your explicit consent. We don't sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who else sees it

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) collects the enquiry form on our behalf. We store information in secure business tools. Our SEN specialist sees case information only for your case. Our AI drafting provider, Anthropic (the maker of Claude), processes case documents on our behalf to prepare first drafts, as a data processor under its data processing terms. Anthropic is based in the United States, so this involves a transfer outside the UK, protected by the safeguards UK law requires (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum).

How long we keep it

If you don't go ahead, we delete your enquiry within 6 months. Case documents are kept for 12 months after your last piece of work with us (so we can help with reviews or appeals), then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, withdraw consent, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Free help

Free, impartial advice is available from your local SENDIASS service and from IPSEA (ipsea.org.uk).
